Year 6 Transition Week
Over the last 2 weeks, Year 6 students joining us September have attended a transition week. The students were able to participate in a variety of lessons and become more familiar with the academy building as well as the staff. The students were brilliant, and thoroughly enjoyed the week. We are really looking forward to welcoming them into our school community in September.
We also had some brilliant feedback from parents;
"I think the whole transition was amazing it was nice for them to go 4 days to get to know teachers and learning her way around the school"
"From the outside as a parent it appeared well organised with appropriate timings given to students. There was a good balance between fun, learning, pastoral and test time for my daughter to enjoy but also take time to reflect."
"Everything went well and we were well informed of the process. Spending time with his form tutor was beneficial. Having a type of time table given them to get used to ready for September. Spending 4 days at the school was very good as I know some schools do not offer this many days."
"Well organised, children made welcome and part of the school community"
