“It was nice to see the children enjoying learning with fun”
“The teacher was really amazing the way that she worked with the children”
“The teacher was fantastic with the children and she really helped them to understand. The explanations throughout the lesson were great”
At the start of March we invited our Year 7 parents in to school to take part in our termly ‘Watch Me Learn’ session.
For the hour, parents were able to experience an Art lesson at the same time as their child, giving them a great insight into what an outstanding learning experience looks like here at The King’s.
The parents were able to work alongside their children drawing images of cakes on coloured card, improving their drawing, scale and precision skills and knowledge of tints and shade and colour theory.
The parents gave positive feedback indicating that the adults really enjoyed being back in the classroom and that our students experience high quality, engaging teaching that our students experience at The King’s Church of England Academy.
Many thanks to all those parents who attended, also thank you for all the extremely positive comments that were made, here are just a few below:
”The behaviour in the lessons was outstanding, the children were able to learn"
“Excellent lesson and fantastic teacher, really interacted with the children. Very impressed”
There will be more opportunities to experience to join the students throughout the year.
