The King's Academy is working to support Mind as our chosen National Charity.

Mind is a charity for Anyone and Everyone:

• They provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.

• They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.

• They won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.

• And we at The King's Academy wish to support this effort.

Mind have 125 "Local" Charity regions, including North Staffordshire. As a leading, independent mental health charity providing services in and beyond North Staffordshire for over 40 years, Mind deliver a range of trusted, specialist support to over 8,000 people every year, believing that no one should face a mental health issue alone. They provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. North Staffs Mind work to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.

Mind have been working in schools for many years providing a variety of mental health and wellbeing services to both staff and students including one to one counselling, training, workshops and supervision. They have long-standing contracts to provide regular support to many schools, but can also offer flexible services to provide interventions as and when they are needed

As an Academy, we run fundraising events and raise awareness for Mind, some examples of this include; non uniform days, bake sales, sponsored events and sports days, and taking part in local events across North Staffordshire.
