The King's Student Leadership Award is a four tiered award of Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum levels. Each tier requires students to engage in a specific number of activities that enable them to develop leadership skills, whilst contributing to all elements of our academy community. 

We recognise that not all students wish to formally become student leaders, however, we want to ensure all students have the opportunity to develop their personal skills and qualities that will be desirable to Post-16 providers, Universities, future and employers and apprenticeships. 

During Form time, students collect a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate that they have engaged in the required number of leadership activities. This is then signed off by our Year 11 student leaders and Heads of Year. 

Student success is then celebrated in our 'Rewards Assemblies' where students receive their Leadership Certificate and Leadership Star that is worn on their blazer as part of their uniform.
