Looking after your emotional health and wellbeing

It is important that we do not neglect our emotional wellbeing and mental health.  Nobody would expect someone with a broken leg to leave their crutches at home; at The King's, we know that we cannot expect our students to leave their broken minds at home.  All of our staff have accessed training about Adverse Childhood Experiences and the impact of bereavement and loss.  We have such a range of support available in school.  If one of our student needs support, we will do our best to signpost them to the most appropriate person or service.

In our school, we value students' mental wellbeing.  Miss Milne is our senior mental health lead, and Mrs Williams is our mental health first aider.  They work to help ensure we have the best possible support systems available in school to support our students.  The inclusion team seeks to anticipate times of high anxiety and to support students through tricky times.
