Financial Literacy Ambassadors
Here at The King's, we believe that it is the students who have the power to drive initiatives forward which is why we give all students in Key Stage 3 the opportunity to apply for the position of 'Financial Literacy Ambassadors'.
Ambassadors play a key role in the promotion of financial education across the curriculum; they support in the teaching of and understanding of how money works in the real world and how this can be integrated in different subject areas. The students lead by example, they demonstrate an excellent attitude to learning and a sound knowledge of mathamatics and numbers.
In addition, ambassadors will also support the financial literacy lead with the running of workshops both in school and with a number of our local primary schools. As part of their training, ambassadors will also need to be a member of the school council where their skills and knowledge in literacy will be put to good use during fund-raising and charity events.
