Inclusion Team
The inclusion team provides support and guidance to both students and parents. We aim to help with any behavioural issues or academic concerns.
Within the inclusion team, we really do believe that every child matters and that God’s love is without limits and without condition; this in turn leads to our excellent pastoral care. The inclusion team deals with a range of issues effectively and also rewards positive behaviours and progress. The team liaises with teachers and outside agencies to ensure that every child has an overwhelmingly positive educational experience and that they are able to realise their full potential whilst at The King's.
All students are grouped between the four Chapters (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John). Chapter Points are available for any number of activities in school.
The inclusion team work closely with the Early Help Team in Newcastle, the Localities team in Stoke, Dove bereavement services (also available for students who have experienced significant loss), Catch 22, School Health services, Education Welfare, the NSPCC, the Youth Offending Team, Staffordshire's Autism Outreach Team, the Educational Psychology service and many other agencies besides.
If you feel that you need to make contact with a member of the school's pastoral support team, please contact the school reception - we ask that you share a brief outline of your query in order that we may direct your call to the most appropriate member of our staff team. We ask that, unless the call relates to an urgent safeguarding matter (you should always call 999 if you believe a child is at immediate risk of harm), you allow us two working days to respond to your enquiry.
