What is the Cystic Fibrosis Trust?

Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the UK's leading charity supporting people with cystic fibrosis (CF).

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 10,800 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.

Since 1964, they have supported people with cystic fibrosis to live longer, healthier lives - and they won’t stop until everyone can live without limits imposed by CF.

Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the charity uniting people to stop cystic fibrosis (CF). They fund vital research, improve care, speak out and race towards effective treatments for all. Cystic Fibrosis Trust is here to make sure everyone with cystic fibrosis can live without limits.

Our mission is to create a world where being born with CF no longer means a lifelong burden of care and an early death, when everyone living with the condition will be able to look forward to a long, healthy life.

Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the charity uniting people to stop cystic fibrosis. Our community will improve care, speak out, support each other and fund vital research as we race towards effective treatments for all.

As an Academy we support these values which link to our own school values. We run fundraising events and raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis, some examples of this include; non uniform days, sponsored events, Fundraising sales, assembly presentations and form tasks and we also support their current campaigns.
