Learning with truth and love

Student Area

We are really hoping that we don't need to put "virtual transition" contingency plans in place this year, so, acting positively we are publishing the "face to face" approach only in the first instance.  We will, of course, refine the information below in line with Government advice, if needed.

Last year's 'virtual transition' booklet

Why don't you take some time to look at last year's 'virtual transition' booklet?  It will give you an idea about some of the learning activities here at The King's.  Naturally, we really hope that we don't have to have a 'virtual transition' this year as well - how fabulous will it be when we don't have to rely on Teams, Google Classroom or Zoom?!

Timetable of key transition activities

1st March 2021

National Offers Day.

Information to parents and carers about what is coming and our immediate plans.

w/c 8th March 2021

Children return to classrooms across England, as such, we will leave your families for a few weeks to settle back into the 'new normal' routine and we won't bombard you with information for a couple of weeks.

April

Throughout the month of April, we will be asking parents and carers to return information to school so that we can get ready to welcome the children to The King's.

May

Children with additional needs start their journey of enhanced transition - please get in touch if you feel that your child would benefit from this additional support.

Online treasure hunt and meeting of staff and governors goes live.

w/c 28th June 2021

Transition week - hopefully on site at The King's - children will come to The King's on the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week to get to know each other, the staff and their new surroundings.
