Last term our Sixth Form students worked together to fundraise for the Maccas Project – who are part of MIND's wellbeing services.

The Maccas Project regularly visit our Sixth Form to help support our students with their mental health and wellbeing. On Monday 12th December 2022, the Maccas Project delivered some mental health and anxiety workshops to our students to help support with the VTQ in Mental Health in the Workplace that they are undertaking.

Following on from this, to help give back to the MACCAS project, Sixth Formers decided to spend their enrichment time fundraising! Sixth Formers all contributed a bundle of goodies to put together in a Christmas themed package, with the aim of raffling the package off in order to raise money for MIND.

Working as a team they came up with a “Guess the name of the Elf!” bundle.

Students went around to all Form groups and classrooms to promote their fundraising, and raised a grand total of £41.91! The winner of the bundle was Mrs Patrick, our wonderful Academy receptionist!
