Learning with truth and love

Just for Parents / Carers

What is the purpose of this page?

The main aim of this page is to pull together key documents, key links and key pieces of information that will help you to be better informed about two things:

  1. Supporting your child in preparation for transition into Year 7

  2. Understanding more about how we operate at The King's and what it is that makes our school family really special.

Welcome to The King's and our school family

You have chosen to send your child to The King's and we are delighted that you have entrusted this special responsibility to us.  We know that we are passionate about nurturing the children in our care into rounded young people ready to step out into society as young people on the brink of adulthood.  We are proud that we have a real "family" feel at school; indeed, we talk about our school as a "school family" - that is important to us.  We are brothers and sisters in Christ and we work together to support each other as members of that same family.  Our vision is all about ensuring that children of all faiths and none grow in truth and love and that they all leave school having realised their full potential.

Your child is about to embark on the next stage of their educational career and this next stage is a big one!  The turbulence that 2020 and 2021 have brought is, naturally, going to mean that many more children will feel the benefit of our super transition programme.  We usually run a lovely week and we really hope that the releasing of lockdown allows for the children to come to site at the end of June this year.  We rely on your trust and understanding with this.

This page will be updated regularly with new documents and links - please visit it regularly.  Whenever there have been any significant updates, we will make contact with you directly by email.  Please do send an email using the form at the foot of this page if you need any specific information that you are struggling to find, or if you need to discuss anything about this next step.
